A clinician devoted to the quiet science of hormones.
Dr. Marufa Mustari is Assistant Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at Bangladesh Medical University (formerly BSMMU), and consultant endocrinologist at Labaid Hospital, Dhanmondi — with Mayo Clinic training and national guideline authorship in PCOS, thyroid and obesity.

Listening first. Then the science.
Dr. Marufa Mustari practises endocrinology with the conviction that hormones shape almost every aspect of how we feel — and that good care begins with truly understanding the person in front of her.
Her clinical work at the Department of Endocrinology, Bangladesh Medical University spans the management of diabetes, thyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary disorders, reproductive hormones, and metabolic conditions. She supervises the residency programme, mentors post-graduate theses and consults in the in- and out-patient departments.
As a clinical scientist she has led four principal-investigator research grants — including national studies on PCOS cardiometabolic risk with the DGHS NCDC programme — and contributed to four national position statements on diabetes, thyroid disease in pregnancy, PCOS and obesity.

A philosophy of considered care.
In her own words, her practice rests on four commitments — distilled from a career spanning teaching, research and clinical consultation.
To provide compassionate, understanding care to people with hormone disorders.
To practise as a thorough, current endocrinologist.
To contribute to medicine as a clinical researcher.
To teach — mentoring the next generation of physicians.
A career, in measured chapters.
